Recording additional requirements alongside the reconciliation
This is the Other Reserves page, details of additional or supplementary requirements should be entered here. They will not have an impact on reconciling your ledger to your lender’s debtor control account.
This is step 13 of 15. For an overview of the whole process, see Introduction.
Other Reserves
Step 1
Add a reserve
To add an item to the list, select + Other Reserve. A pop-up will appear asking you to enter more information about the reserve.
Please ensure that the following fields are completed:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Reconciliation Ledger | The ledger the reserve relates to. |
| Debtor | The debtor this relates to. If the amount relates to more than one debtor, select Other. |
| Name | The name of the reserve. This becomes its label in the summary table and on the list below. |
| Amount | The amount of the reserve. |
| Date | The date, chosen from the calendar. |
| Details | Any supporting explanation for the reserve. |
Please note
Put £0.00 if there is nothing to report for this month.
Once a value for each field has been updated (including £0.00 if applicable), select Save.
The Name you enter is what identifies the reserve afterwards.
Please note
If you select Other as the debtor, make sure you enter an appropriate explanation in the Details box, since the reserve is no longer tied to a named debtor.
Step 2
Review, edit or delete a reserve
Repeat the above steps to add more reserves. Once created, a summary of each reserve will be displayed and the table in the top-left will be updated to reflect the changes. That table lists one row per reserve name, totalled by currency.
Each reserve is headed by its name and shows the reconciliation ledger, amount, debtor and date. To view the reserve, select show details.
To amend the entry, select the ellipsis on the right of the page. This will display a menu where you can Edit or Delete the reserve.
The summary table carries one row per reserve name.
Step 3
Save and continue
Once all items have been identified, select Save And Continue.
