Barclays LedgerShare (BLS) enables you to quickly and easily submit your Month End Reconciliation (MER) to Barclays via a secure online portal.
The service connects directly to your accounting package and displays the data on the reconciliation screens on the portal. This enables you to complete the reconciliation step by step by allowing you to:
- Select the reconciling month end date
- Create/edit debtor groups
- Auto assign your debtors to the reconciliation ledgers
- Identify non-notifiable debtors
- Identify non-notifiable transactions
- Create export countries and allocate debtors to these
- Review debtor concentration levels
- Create contras (contra trading positions)
- Select discounts, adjustments and write-offs to be adjusted in the MER
- Select invoices and credit notes in transit
- Add details of cash in transit items
- Add details of other reconciling items
- Notify us of reserve requirements
- View the reconciliation summary
- Preview the reconciliation Barclays use to complete your MER
The service transmits your data via an encrypted connection where it is immediately available to Barclays, enabling quicker, more informed decision making and removing the requirement of manual data submission.
The purpose of this document is to guide you through the Barclays LedgerShare Month End Reconciliation submission.
