When Barclays LedgerShare extracts data from an online accounting package you don't see the data being extracted being reported in a live progress bar on your desktop screen.
After you have logged into Barclays LedgerShare, started the Barclays LedgerShare upload and provided your cloud accounting package logon details the rest of the conversation between the cloud package and the Barclays LedgerShare platform happens in the background.
At this point the Barclays LedgerShare platform and the cloud accounting package are talking to each other and sharing the selected company data, data is being requested from the cloud package and being sent to the Barclays LedgerShare platform transaction by transaction.
Depending on the size of your company file and the number of entries it contains and how busy the cloud accounting package platform happens to be at the time of your request this process may take several minutes to complete. The transfer is however occurring as a system to system transfer so you are free to carry on with other tasks or shut down your machine and power off if you need to - the transfer will continue.
You can view the progress of your cloud accounting package upload in the Barclays LedgerShare Portal - refresh your browser to see the latest status.
Each cloud accounting package upload will move through three states;
- "Loading" - data is being extracted and sent to the Barclays LedgerShare platform.
- "Processing" - all data has been received and is now queued for or is currently being processed.
- "Complete" - all data has been received processed and is available to view in Barclays LedgerShare View.
