Barclays Connect for SAP Business One
The SAP Business One connector is an on-premise connector which connects to the SAP Business One Service Layer API. This means that the upload can be done from any system which has access to SAP Business One.
The information you will need to enter is the following
-
API Server Name - this is the location of the API server, it is not necessarily the same server where SAP Business One is installed.
- Typically this is expected to be a Windows computer name, i.e. QA-SAP-BO-24. However, it may be supplied as a domain, i.e. http://company/sapb1
- If the API Server is the same as the SAP Business One server then you can check this in the “Choose/Create” company screen
- API Port Number - This will be pre-populated with the default value of 50000, however, if the API port number was changed during installation then you will need to update this to reflect the correct value.
-
Database Name - The name of the company database from which you are extracting data.
- If the API Server is the same as the SAP Business One server then you can check this in the “Choose/Create” company screen (screenshot above).
- Username - the username you use to log in to SAP Business One. You must have access to the data which you are trying to extract.
- Password - The password which you use to log in to SAP Business One
When you have entered these details, click Next and your upload will begin.
The data extraction process will begin and progress will be displayed on the screen. Depending on the size of your database and the number of entries it contains this process may take a few minutes. Once all data has been extracted the data is compressed, encrypted, and transmitted securely to the Barclays central server.
You can continue with other tasks while the extraction takes place.
Please don't close the Barclays Connect window or interrupt the extraction process.
When the share completes the success message is presented.
Click Close to exit Barclays Connect. At this point, there is nothing more to do. Your Engagement Manager or Client Manager will be notified by email that you have submitted a new share.
Your shared data is now being queued for processing in the Barclays central system. You can switch off your desktop and disconnect from the network if you wish.
You can view the progress of your upload in the Barclays Portal - You may need to refresh your browser. The status will change from Processing to Completed.
